Line and Design - Repetition and Rhythm Assignment

During my week I was assigned to make two different versions of rhythm, steady and dynamic. Both 8x8 with a 2 pt blackborder.

Steady: One where the lines are the same direction and quality, but vary only thickness and distance of the lines.

Dynamic: One where you can vary the direction, quality, type and and position of the lines.

Here is the results:

My Art Work

The first rhythm I did was steady and then dynamic. When I though of steady I though lines that were straight and calm. When I though of dynamic I though of different types of layers that have different patterns. The steady rhythm is simple and calmer then the dynamic because the dynamic has more lines and different type lines. I think it fits the rhythm good because the steady have lines that are the same directions and quality, also the dynamic has different directions, quality, type and positions of lines. The steady is greater because it fits the rhythm more. They are pleasing to the eye and I think they aren't discordant than the other. The steady makes me think of a calm ocean and dynamic makes me feel confused.
