Scavenge Hunt Photos
Photos:
Rule of Thirds
To divide the picture into 3x3 squares and separating parts of the picture.
When this picture is divided you can see that the girls are separated.
We used crop tool and curves for this photo.
Leading Lines is used to guide everyone to a object/person using lines.
The fence is guiding the eye to a person in the distance.
We used crop tool and curves your this image.
Form
A photo that shows the outline of a object and the details.
This photo shows a foot of a mannequin. The shadows and darkened areas make the foot look 3D.
We used crop tool and levels for this photo.
Breaking Pattern
When a repeated object is ruined by something, it creates a breaking pattern .
This photo is a breaking pattern picture, because one of the books are sticking out and some are standing out more, which is breaking the feeling made by the other books.
We used crop tool and levels for this photo.
Depth Overlapping
A photo that has objects covering(/overlapping) other objects that create distance.
The lockers with locks overlap each other and create a sense of distance.
We didn't change anything on the photo.
Depth Linear Perspective
When the photo is showing a lines perspective(view).
This photo is showing a line's view on the floor.
We used levels and crop tool for this image.
Selective Focus
Framing
To chose what you want to focus on.
For this photo we decided to focus on the first lock in front for the camera.
We used crop tool and levels for this photo.
Framing
Framing is when you surround a object with something natural/man-made, this technique can be used for guiding everyone to where you want them to look.
The glasses's frame in the photo is making the girl stand out, since its surrounding the girl.
We just used crop tool, since the lighting was good.
Balance
(Asymmetrical)
(Asymmetrical)
When a photo is equal in color, balanced in objects and have simpler parts, the photo is symmetrical. When the the photo isn't equal then it's asymmetrical.
This hallway is unbalanced, because the bulletin board is making the photo uneven, even though the lighting is the same on each side the photo.
We used crop tool and levels for this picture.
Intentional Blur
When the photo has something that looks like it's moving purposely.
This photo shows a girl spinning, we made this effect by making the background steady and the girl unbalanced and blurry.
We used crop tool and levels for this image.
